¿Alguna vez te has preguntado cuál es tu medicina? ¿Qué es eso que viniste a entregar y a compartir? La música de Almunis Alejandra Ortiz, ha sido para muchas personas que conozco y para mí misma, una gran compañera de camino. Pocos días después de su llegada a Barichara, que marca su regreso a Colombia después de 17 años, tuve la oportunidad de conocerla y entrevistarla.
La fertilidad sonora y las letras de Almunis han sido una invitación a preguntarnos por la raíz, por aquello que nos nutre y nos sostiene. Esa exploración profunda a la que ella misma se vio llamada durante sus años de estudio en Berklee College of Music la llevó a crear Lulacruza, agrupación con la que cerró capítulo en el 2017 y a través de la cual, tejió su conexión con sonidos latinoamericanos de la mano de un camino espiritual de experiencias intensas. Hoy a través de Minük, su nuevo proyecto musical con su compañero Markandeya, ella nos invita a elevar la mirada al cielo y a preguntarnos por la medicina de las estrellas.
Y en medio de las estrellas que son soles encendidos nace Mirando el Fuego, su colaboración más reciente con El Búho, una canción que a mi modo de ver manifiesta mucho de la esencia de nuestra época: el despertar del espíritu femenino que abraza compasivamente al masculino y comprende que este también atraviesa el dolor de reinventarse y nacer del propio parto. Esta sanación global nos recuerda que entre más profunda y sana está nuestra raíz, más podemos expandirnos y acceder a los mensajes de las esferas celestes. Reconocernos como canales de consciencia es la vía de manifestación de nuestra propia medicina.
Si sana una sanan todos, si sana uno sanan todas. La travesía de perdonar al padre en lugar de matarlo, desde una perspectiva simbólica, exige valor. El valor de no culpar al otro, el valor de no verlo como separado de mi. Este proceso incomodo y liberador de demoler nuestras propias estructuras, nos pregunta en manos de quién o qué hemos puesto nuestra propia sanación. Es un despertar de consciencia colectivo que sacude incluso aquellas tradiciones ancestrales y patriarcales, que muchas veces curaban sin reconocer su propia enfermedad. Se hace urgente la tarea de sanear nuestros altares y con amor y sin piedad, derrocar los “falsos dioses” que guiaban nuestras vidas.
Me pregunto si Almunis al igual que quienes hemos encontrado cura en su música, atravesó en estos últimos años su propia noche oscura del alma. Desde su casa en las montañas de la tierra de su padre, la exploración inicial e iniciática del sonido como herramienta de curación, evoluciona hacia una perspectiva aún más integradora: la del servicio. A través de Sonido Sana y sus talleres de La Voz Auténtica, genera encuentros para quienes quieran despertar su propia voz como instrumento de reconexión con el propósito de vida. Una enseñanza del canto que no se limita a la técnica vocal ni a la búsqueda del aplauso. Parafraseo a Almunis: No nos expresamos (escribimos, danzamos, dibujamos, cocinamos, tejemos…) para ser amados, nos expresamos porque somos amor.

We are very excited to announce our third Embodied Voice Immersion in our beautiful center in the Colombian northern mountains. All participants from past immersions expressed a desire to extend the length of training, so this time, we are meeting for 40 hours of in-depth Embodied Voice work (instead of 30!). The immersion is open to all levels. It is not necessary to have previous singing experience, just a desire and commitment to find your authentic expression.

The 40 hours Embodied Voice Immersion is a potent in-depth space for all who want to find the resonance of their true voice, connecting with singing as a live vibrant energy. This profound exploration of the energetics behind Embodied Singing will ignite the creative source in the center of your being, and allow the sacred qualities of your voice to flow intact, healthy and free.
The Embodied Voice is a holistic method of self-healing and transformation which reconnects individuals and communities to their true voice, vitality and life force, by reactivating their inner vibration and expanding their resonance and creative power.
At the end of the Immersion you will receive a “40 hours Embodied Voice Immersion Certificate of completion”. These 40 hours can be used towards the 200 hours Embodied Voice Teacher Training newly offered by SONIDO SANA.
